I love these maple syrup brownies and my kids will eat them, which proves to me that they really are good! There is so much butter that you can really use any kind of flour without worrying that it will taste weird. I like to use a combination of oat flour, spelt flour, millet flour and amaranth flour. I like maple syrup for this recipe but you can also use agave.
1 1/3 cup flour
1 cup raw cacao powder
1 cup organic butter
1 cup maple syrup
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
Preheat oven to 350. Mix flour, salt and baking soda in a glass bowl and set aside. Melt butter on stove. Take off heat and add maple syrup. Mix in cacao powder. Let it cool and then stir in eggs one at a time. Add chocolate mixture to the flour mixture.
Butter a 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour into pan and bake for 25 minutes.
These brownies are so moist and delicious!
